M.O.R.E. Fighting for 70s Bikers
People may know Ben Harroll as the renowned private detective who for decades operated out of the Gaslamp Quarter where he had his office and museum. But, before that, Ben was an AMA ambassador, Bikesville collaborator, and a strong advocate for motorcyclists.
“San Diego County now has M.O.R.E.! Big deal you say…’What is M.O.R.E., and how is it going to help me enjoy riding my motorcycle when EPS, BLM, DOT, the San Diego Board of Supervisors, City Noise Administrator and everyone else is trying to eliminate me and my motorcycle from the face of the earth?’
Fair question…here’s M.O.R.E.’s answer.
First of all M.O.R.E. of California (Motorcyclists, Owners, Riders and Enthusiasts) is not new. Mr. Russ Sanford began the program back in 1969 because he was a man who had enjoyed motorcycling for far too many years and had enjoyed raising a family that was closer than some because of its shared interest in two-wheelers to stand by and watch as motorcycling was legislated out of existence!
